I think this would have been a better picture if I had messed around more with lighting. I know I've been told to try with a higher ISO, but with my camera it only goes up to ISO 1600. I have the Canon Rebel xs, which I believe is the lowest quality Canon Rebel (Compared to the xsi, or the t1i or t2i.) Am I right?... but I LOVE it, and I'm enjoying learning how to do more, and more with it :)
I also want to try to start using my telephoto lens that I have, but I keep forgetting because I usually have my other lens on my camera!

This is so funny! At first I thought he looked distant and scared because he didn't want to catch the bug from you:)
Yea for help with technology!
I don't know anything about the Rebel XS (Casey may know about it, though), but that is a bummer that 1600 is the highest it will go. I'm amazed at how often I need to set my ISO at 3200! Like the the baby legs picture I took yesterday - the room was very bright, but because I wanted to close down my aperture (to get more of his legs in focus) and increase my shutter speed (to keep it from being blurry), I needed to have the ISO as high as it would go. I know this is additional cost, but for the future I can't say enough about having a f/1.8 50mm lens for low light situations! Maybe a gift for another special occasion:)
Can't wait to see what you capture with your telephoto lens!
